XD AI Translator is an on-device first speech translation app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the app.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information. The app has no account system, requires no registration or sign-in, and has no backend server that uploads your voice or text. Specifically:
Your translation history is stored only in a local database on your device, solely for displaying your history. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. We have no access to it.
To provide core features, the app requests the following system permissions:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Microphone | Core input for speech translation. Recorded audio is processed only on your device. |
| Bluetooth | Connecting Bluetooth translation headsets. Android requires a location permission declaration alongside Bluetooth scanning, but we never use it to obtain your location. |
| Camera | Used for photo and image-related features. Photos are processed only on your device. |
| Network state (incl. Wi-Fi state) | Used solely to detect connectivity for feature availability hints. |
| Phone state | Declared for compatibility with a bundled component (ARMS RUM). The app does not use it to collect any device identifiers. |
The app integrates the following open-source components: sherpa-onnx (speech recognition), llama.cpp (on-device LLM inference), and Piper TTS (speech synthesis). All of them run locally on your device and transmit no data to any third party.
We do not share your personal information with any third party.
Because all data processing happens on your device, no cross-border data transfer occurs.
The app does not actively collect personal information from any user, including minors. Minors should use the app under the guidance of a guardian.
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be published on this page, and material changes will be announced in the app.
